Tomato Sauce Creole Shopping List:

1/3 cup peanut oil
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
6 Italian plum tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and finely chopped
1/2 cup beef stock
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
3 drops Tabasco
1 garlic clove, crushed in a garlic press

Tomato Sauce Creole Preparation Instructions:

1. Heat oil in a saucepan, add onion, and cook over low heat until translucent but not browned. Add tomato, stock, and seasonings; stir with a wooden spoon until tomato pulp is cooked to a fine puree.
2. Serve with rice or grilled meats.
