Zucchini and Tomatoes au Gratin

2 zucchini (about 1 pound each)
3 ripe tomatoes
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon basil
1 cup grated cheese

1. Wash, dry and slice the zucchini. Place the slices in a greased ovenproof dish.
2. Cut the tomatoes in half and put them in the middle. Season with salt, pepper and basil and sprinkle on the cheese .
3. Bake in a 400°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
