Mushrooms with Sour Cream

1 large onion, minced
2 tablespoons butter
1 pound fresh mushrooms, diced
1 tablespoon flour
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
½ cup whipping cream
½ cup dairy sour cream
¼ cup grated cheese (Parmesan, Swiss, or Cheddar)
2 tablespoons butter, melted

1. Saute onion in 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet 5 minutes. Add mushrooms; saute 5 minutes longer.
2. Blend flour, salt, and pepper with skillet mixture. Add whipping cream and sour cream gradually mixing thoroughly. Turn into 1-quart casserole. Top with cheese. Drizzle melted butter over top.
3. Bake at 350°F about 20 minutes, or until thoroughly heated.
