Greek Style Carrots and Green Beans

Greek Style Carrots and Green Beans Shopping List:

1 pound carrots, pared and cut in 2½-inch pieces
1 clove garlic
1 medium onion, peeled and quartered
1 pound fresh green beans, cleaned, trimmed, and cut in 2½-inch pieces
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons oil
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper

Greek Style Carrots and Green Beans Preparation Instructions:

1. Place carrots horizontally in the feed tube and slice with slicing disc. Set aside.
2. Using steel blade, mince garlic. Add onion and process until chopped.
3. In a saucepan, saute green beans, sliced carrots, onion, and garlic in butter and oil about 15 minutes.
4. Add tomato sauce, cinnamon. salt, and pepper; sim­mer, partially covered, until vegetables are tender (about 30 minutes).
