Spicy Cranberry Sauce

2 cups (about 1/2 pound) cranberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

1. Sort and wash cranberries. 1 piece (3 inches) stick cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt
2. Combine sugar, water, cinnamon stick, and salt in a I-quart saucepan and stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
3. Bring to boiling; boil uncovered for 5 minutes. Add the cranberries. Continue to boil uncovered without stirring, about 5 minutes, or until skins pop. Cool and remove cinnamon stick.
4. Serve with meat or poultry.
