Danish Hearts Shopping List:

Puff Pastry:
1 cup flour
2 ounces sugar
1 egg yolk
3½ ounces butter

Filling:
6 ounces cream
2 egg yolks
½ tablespoon sugar
½ tablespoon corn flour
Decoration:
Confectioners’ sugar Cherries
Raspberries or strawberries

Danish Hearts Preparation Instructions:

1. Blend flour, butter, egg yolk and sugar on a pastry board and work quickly into a dough.
2. Roll out the dough and line 2/3 of a greased heart-shaped pan with the paste.
3. Mix the ingredients for the filling and simmer on low heat until thickened. Let the cream cool.
4. Distribute the cream in the pans. Roll out the rest of the dough and put on top. Pinch the edges.
5. Bake the cakes in a 350 ° F oven for about 18 minutes. Remove the cakes and let them get cold.
6. Sift on the confectioners’ sugar and decorate with berries.
