Shrimp-Walnut Rabbit

Shrimp-Walnut Rabbit Shopping List:

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 green onion including top, thinly sliced
1 cup thinly sliced celery
2 tablespoons flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
Pinch cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons dry white wine
½ cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 cup cleaned cooked shrimp
½ cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Shrimp-Walnut Rabbit Preparation Instructions:

1. In cooking pan of a chafing dish, melt butter. Stir in onion and celery. Cook 5 minutes over medium heat.
2. Blend in flour and salt. Add milk gradually. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and is thickened.
3. Stir in cayenne, wine, and cheese. Add shrimp and walnuts. Heat thoroughly over simmering water; do not boil.
4. Serve in heated patty shells.
