Jellied Melange Shopping List:
2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
½ cup cold water
3¾ cups hot chicken broth
2 tablespoons onion juice
1 cup chopped cooked chicken
½ cup chopped cooked ham
½ cup chopped celery
1 pimiento, minced
Mayonnaise
Parsley
Jellied Melange Preparing Instructions:
1. Soften gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes and dissolve in hot broth.
2. Add onion juice.
3. Cool; when mixture begins to thicken, stir in chicken, ham, celery and pimiento and pour into small molds. Chill.
4. Serve on lettuce garnished with mayonnaise and parsley.
Shrimp Melange: Omit ham, use tomato juice instead of chicken broth and chopped, cleaned cooked shrimp instead of chicken.
