Figs with Mavrodaphne Wine Shopping List:
12 ripe figs
2 cups Mavrodaphne wine
2 cups whipping cream, whipped
¼ cup walnuts
Figs with Mavrodaphne Wine Preparation Instructions:
1. Peel figs. Prick each 3 or 4 times on sides and bottoms. Arrange figs in a dish and pour wine over them. Refrigerate for 2 hours, turning occasionally.
2. Remove figs to a serving platter. Reserve the wine. Arrange whipping cream around the figs. Garnish with walnuts. Serve wine separately.
