Chili Nut Log

Chili Nut Log Shopping List:

8 ounces process sharp Cheddar cheese spread (at room temperature)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine (at room temperature)
½ teaspoon minced onion
¼ teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon chili powder
Dash cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans
3 dinner crepes (opposite) Melted butter or margarine
2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Chili Nut Log Preparing Instructions:

1. Combine cheese, 2 tablespoons butter, onion, garlic, chili powder, cayenne, lemon juice, and nuts. Mix until well blended. Shape into 3 or 4 logs. (If mixture is too soft to work with, refrigerate for 10 to 15 minutes.)
2. Place log at one end of crepe and roll up. Brush outside of-crepe with melted butter and roll in parsley. Refrigerate 10 minutes, slice, and serve with picks.
3. Store in refrigerator up to 1 week, or store in freezer.
